Between Lost and Found and Infinite by Kathy Kimbray
So if you follow me on insta, you’ll know that I’m now on my third post for this book! Over here, I think this may just be my second!
This means that for this book tour, I’m now on the part where I need to review the book! I tried to be creative about this, I even made a basic, boring tik tok. If you think I’m joking, hit the link below!
Book Review:
Your girl is someone who is super hesitant to review poetry on her blog because I do think it’s super personal and if you aren’t in a certain headspace or in a mood, it just won’t work for you. I also don’t think I can offer any constructive criticism when it comes to poetry!
Which is why this particular collection also stays at 3 stars for me. I generally prefer shorter poems. The only exceptions to this rule are the Ballad of Reading Goal by Oscar Wilde and the collection, You Better Be Lightning by Andrea Gibson.
As a whole this particular collection by Kathy Kimbray had some really sweet moments! I love the poem How things are now!
For my happiness did not die when you left;
it just changed course.
And this is how things are now.
An unexplored wilderness requesting a fresh set of eyes.
And a spyglass on the sheets,
glistening with the promise
of a new panorama,
ready and waiting.
